There is a wise saying that says it is never too late to follow your dreams. This is especially true when it comes to completing your post high school college degree. Several adults drop out of college for different reasons and then wish later that they had finished their degrees. The truth is that you can still complete your college degree no matter what your age or circumstances. This is where goal setting will help you attain your dreams.

A college degree can enhance your life in ways that you can’t even imagine. Not only will it give you more options in your life, it will also help raise your sense of self-worth and self-confidence. That in itself will have large payoffs. Statistically those with a bachelor’s degree will earn about $1,000,000 more in their lifetimes than those who don’t. That’s a huge plus for finishing your degree.

Goal setting for returning to college to finish your degree requires several steps in order to be successful. First, make a list of all of the obstacles you are facing to complete your goal. Secondly, brainstorm ideas for overcoming those obstacles. Each person’s circumstances are different. However, there are some basic goal setting ideas that apply to just about every one.

First, most states have a two year community college system. If you live close to a major city, there is most often one within driving distance. Many returning students begin there. The reason is that it’s less costly as a four year college or university. Set an appointment to converse with a counselor at the school nearest you. This person should be able to assist you with your goal setting by outlining options.

One of the advantages of the community college system is that you don’t have to have a high school diploma to be able to attend. All you have to be is eighteen and older. Be sure and include this option in your goal setting.

The next step in your goal setting to is to decide which option is most beneficial for you. Many colleges and universities give the choice of online degree programs for those people who don’t have easy access to a college campus. You might keep in mind the combining of online and classroom classes. Again, a counselor will be able to assist you. Just make sure that the courses you have opted for are transferable to the degree that you have chosen as your goal.

Finding the time in your busy adult schedule is an obstacle that you will face in goal setting. You will require the help and assistance of your family and friends to attain your goal. Make sure everyone in your family is onboard and supports you. Everybody will have to make sacrifices, but they won’t be insurmountable.

Goal setting should involve everybody in your family. They need to have some ownership in your goal. Sit down with your family and look over the individual days and the weeks in your schedule. You will find the time if you try hard enough.

The good news is that you have many more choices available to you in your goal setting than were available even a few years ago. Evening classes are usually offered. There are also some colleges that offer weekend classes for working adults. Many colleges and universities are now providing accelerated courses where you focus on only one or two classes at a time until those are finished.

Most colleges have support groups available for adults who are returning to school after long periods of time. Take advantage of them. They can offer resources that you probably weren’t aware of in your initial planning. Remember, are able to attain your goal of a college degree and goal setting will help you reach your dream.

Mind Control and the Law of Attraction

Mind Control and the Law of AttractionSpecifically, this article is about learning to control your own mind. You know that manifestation occurs via visualization which causes emotion. You also know that this happens unconsciously for most people most of the time. Since so many of us have negative things going on in our lives, we have to become aware that our daily thinking/feeling routines are to blame. Therefore, in order to change our lives, we need to begin by getting a little more control over our own minds.

Luckily, this is not terribly difficult to do. The key is in being aware of what you are feeling at all times. Do you feel good or bad? Plain and simple, that is how you gauge your thoughts. When you feel good, you may notice your thoughts. You may become aware of what types of thought and thinking processes you engage in that make you feel good. However, our focus is on changing things for the better, and since thought which yields positive results is what we’re shooting for, we can ignore it for now.

Instead, begin focusing on your thoughts when you begin to feel bad. When you feel unhappy, sad, depressed, angry, afraid… take immediate stock of what you are thinking about. Step back for just a moment and notice your thoughts. Your thoughts are always causing your emotions. Even if something is happening in the physical world that you are reacting to, that reaction occurs through your thoughts first and foremost. Begin to catch yourself in moments when you slip into negative thought patterns, and immediately move your thinking to something more constructive and positive.

I used to be bad about engaging in negative mental dramas while driving. These would be days when absolutely nothing was going wrong, and I was merely in the car on my way somewhere. For some reason, my mind would begin to create a story and I would become very mentally involved in it. This is the nature of an idle mind – it gets busy one way or another, and needs direction as to what types of activities to engage in. This was definitely a negative activity. It would always begin innocently enough – a small what if scenario daydream that would warrant a negative reaction from me. Wife cheating, friend starting a fight, someone breaking into my house… My brain would say “what if”, and the next thing I know I’d be 15 minutes into a violent negative daydream. Did this affect my emotional state? Of course it did! And I’m sure there are other people who find similar, destructive activities that their minds engage in during idle periods.

Daydreams aren’t just daydreams! They generate emotion, which is energy, which creates an attractive motion in reality. You daydream about enough negative stuff, such as “what if I don’t get to the store on time?” or “what if my son doesn’t come home on time?” or “what if I can’t finish my project on time?” and you will find that this negative energy will have an affect on your outward reality. Worry, stress, and fear often play into these mental activities, and these all work together to stifle your positive emotions. Yet, they are merely patterns and habits. They can be altered be simply becoming aware of them, catching yourself as soon as you start them, and shifting your mind to something more positive. At first it will be tough, but before long you will notice that you have completely stemmed those types of negative mental habits, and a cloud will be lifted from your life.

It’s amazing how powerful an act removing negative thought patterns can be. Your day to day life becomes smoother, more positive, and more friendly. You will physically, mentally and emotionally feel better. And you will know that you are in control of your mind, and not the other way around. You control your mind to stay positive, which keeps your emotions positive, which brings your words and actions around to being positive, and all of this quickly manifests positive outcomes in your life.

Don’t wait any longer to begin curbing harmful thought patterns. Begin now!

What is Our Purpose in Life?

The only way to achieve your goals in life is to have a clear understanding of what you really want in life.  All of your goals should be something that you want with all of your heart and soul.  Once you can clearly picture your life purpose, you can start to work towards living a happy life that will help you accomplish all of your dreams.  The Law of Attraction is responsible for everything that has happened in the past, everything that is going on in your life now, and everything that will happen to your in the future.  This law is all about your energy.  When you have negative energy, the energy is shielding you from positive experiences.  Living your life with a purpose based on the Law of Attraction can help you attract whatever it is you want in life with little to no effort.

Finding Purpose in Life and Achieving Goals with Daily Affirmations

If you want to achieve something in life you need to ask for it.  While this may sound odd, if you think about it, everything that happens to us is something we focus our attention on, good or bad.  If you learn to focus all of your energy on the positive rather than the negative you can get what you want.  Daily affirmations are a great way to think positively.  Make sure all of your affirmations are positive and in present tense.  Be short and specific with your daily affirmations so your subconscious mind understands the statements and translates these into positive thoughts.  You have to repeat what you are saying, evoke emotion, and believe in everything you say and you can change your life for the better.

I Want to Know My Purpose in Life

It is all too common for people to go through life without really knowing their life purpose.  If you want to know what is your purpose in life you need to learn how to tap into your subconscious mind so you can find a solution to the problem that is bugging you or so you can envision all of your life desires.  It is so normal for individuals to perform tasks on auto-pilot that you can mentally disengage from what you are doing and enter a state where your subconscious takes over.  This is called the Theta Brainwave State and this state involves relaxing and meditating so you can tap into the subconscious part of your mind which is also the most insightful part of the mind.  Practicing meditation is the best way to communicate with your subconscious so you can picture what life will be like when you accomplish your goals.  If your biggest concern is how to find your life purpose, you need to tap into that subconscious and and visualize yourself living out your desires.

How Does the Law of Cause and Affect Apply to Life Desires and Purpose?

Taking action in life is extremely important.  When you do not take action, nothing will happen.  If you want to know what my purpose in life is, you need to make sure you learn how to focus on your goals and desires so you can find the answer to your very important question.  As you start to get ideas on your life purpose it is important to take action and test these ideas so you can see if they will get you closer to your desire.  You can sit back and wish you could accomplish your goals but hoping you can do this is not enough.  You have to take action in your consciousness and this in turn will show your subconscious mind how serious you are about the desire.  Consider Newton’s Third Law:  For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.  This law of science applies to desire as well as purpose.  If you sit back and do nothing to satisfy your desires it is not likely that you will reach these desires in your lifetime.

Being Grateful Can Change Your Life

Children are taught to be grateful for what they have at an early age.  They say thank you and they appreciate what is provided for them.  If you take these skills with you throughout life they can truly benefit you as a person and help you attract more positive experiences.  When you are grateful for all things in life, big or small, you are a more positive person.  Having these positive feelings will give you a better outlook on life, causing you to be more positive.  When you have positive energy surrounding you, you will attract positive life experiences.  make sure you practice and act of gratitude everyday and look for ways to genuinely praise others and you will get more in life.  The lessons we are taught at a young age will pay off and help us find purpose later down the line.

When you try to attract abundance and prosperity into your life, you probably focus on techniques like affirmations and visualizations, as well as staying receptive to opportunities on a daily basis.

These are all great ways of attracting greater wealth into your life, but you may also want to be sure you aren’t counteracting these positive activities with lack-inducing behavior!

Here are three (tongue-in-cheek) ways to attract lack into your life:

1) Keep affirming that you don’t have “enough.”

Every time you allow yourself to feel anxious about your finances, fearful about not having enough money, or resentful because others seem to have more than you do, you are affirming your belief in “not enough.”

If you want to turn this around, you will need to overcome your existing beliefs and change them to reflect an unwavering belief in “more than enough.”  Whenever you begin to feel fearful about lack, affirm aloud, “I always have more than enough (money, time, confidence, resources, etc.)”  Keep reinforcing this new belief daily, or whenever a lack perception rears its ugly head.  It takes pretty strong effort, but if you can push through the uneasiness and affirm with faith that you always have more than enough, you attract a positive flow of abundance.

Another good way to create lack in your life is to:

2) Avoid taking action . . . on anything.

One unfortunate side effect of a lack mind-set is a strong sense of defeat and futility about your circumstances.  You feel like there’s nothing you can do to turn it around, so you don’t do anything.  Or you do know something you can do to get the ball rolling, but the thought of actually doing it frightens you, so you keep holding back.

In order to break out of this cycle, you’ll need to push yourself a little harder to take focused action.  It doesn’t matter on what you take action really, as long as it moves you in the direction you want to be moving.  If you want a better paying job, take action on getting one.  Apply to better jobs, and ask around about better jobs.  Your actions don’t have to be earth-shattering or exceedingly difficult.  If it frightens you to think about taking a large step, take a small one.  Push yourself out of your comfort zones little by little.

Want still more lack?  Then be sure to:

3) Spend money you don’t have.

One common thing that many people do is try to feel wealthy by spending money they don’t have.  They use their credit card or personal loans in order to fund a more comfortable lifestyle, but they don’t realize that they are creating an energy deficit at the same time!  Big mistake!  You can’t fool the universe by “pretending” to be wealthy.  You have to instead focus on becoming wealthy from the inside, out.  When you are encouraged to adopt a wealth mind-set, it doesn’t mean spending money at the rate a wealthy person would!  It means learning to think and feel as a wealthy person does.  This might involve feeling confident, rich, blessed, relaxed, generous, etc.

These three prosperity-killers are just the tip of the iceberg.  Just like lack creation is a very simple and automatic process, so also can be wealth creation!  It just depends what you want to focus on the most – and what you think, feel and DO in your daily life.
